Thanks, Larry. We had some traffic/server issues but are pleased with how the streaming is working.

I have, countless times. Its not a matter of WLOS (Asheville, which has HD), its the matter of WMYA, which is under their control. There were several games this year including UNC @ FSU and UNC @ Duke that were covered on WMYA which doesnt have HD. All I get is "We're working on it". But the delays doesnt make it appear in HD any sooner.

It should be a requirement through Raycom that that if you carry our broadcasts, your station is to be equipped to broadcast in HD.

Im not trying to wish you unemployment...But for years I've loathed the Raycom product. The same biased announcers & the same advertising (commercials that gets old after 2 showings) are my issues with it. With ESPN, there are lots of advertisers and more announcers to make the games fresh and more appealing. Sometimes listening to Tim Brandt, Dan Bonner, Steve Martin, Mike Hogewood, and Mike Gminski gets so irratating that Mike Patrick and Dick Vitale from ESPN (who I dont like due to their bias) become mighty nice to listen to. Even the announcers from Fox Sports South sound great.

If Im not mistaken, just about all of the ACC Tournament is being broadcasted by ESPN.

    Very informative.
I've watched the games in HD on WLOS (13). It'd be great if you guys would hire some announcers that know the players names. Tim Brando and Dan Bonner twice mentioned a great pass/great shot from Lawson, when it was actually Ellington.
And Mike Hogewood should lose some weight. I'm expecting him to fall over from a heart attack at any moment. My girlfriend actually said it looked like he was storing nuts for the winter.

Just got in from working today's games. I'm one of the lucky ones...I've only put in 35 hours the last two days, the folks on production location may get to sleep tomorrow night.

I'll reply to some of this in more detail later but as for our commericals not being varied or entertaining enough? Trade places with me. I get to watch that stupid freakin' cow go through the office building 4 times a game for 88 or so games during basketball season not to mention the 27 football games this past fall.. I know where the bastard has freckles by now and I'm so fucking glad that Seth is now on Tommy's calling circle and you should see the dance number we've choreographed in the network monitoring room to the cool music in the United Way spots.

    OH SAY CAN'T YOU SEE
If you're watching this game on television back home in Wilmington and are wondering what happened to the picture on your screen for about 3-4 minutes during the first half, you're not alone. The technical difficulties that left Raycom's broadcast of the game with audio and no video were experienced by everyone viewing on the regional network.
Among those affected was Raycom Sports executive producer Jimmy Rayburn, who had been at the Georgia Dome the past two days before leaving for the SEC Tournament in Tampa, Fla.
"I was watching the ACC Tourmament here in Tampa and for about three minutes, we lost the picture," Rayburn said by phone. "Those guys up there (in Atlanta) are going through hell to try to fix it, so I haven't called and bothered them."
Rayburn has, however, promised to call back as soon as he finds out the case of the problem, and I'll pass it along as soon as he does.

The video was off air from 3 minutes 17 seconds until 2:00:02 due to a malfunction in the closed captioning modem. In 3 minutes 17 seconds, the problem was communicated from Charlotte to the production truck and our uplink provider in ATL, the source of the problem was identified, and the video was rerouted. Of those 3 minutes 17 seconds, 1 minute 24 was commerical inventory.
