get used to Pat White

i still think the patriots are going to make a play for Peppers...probably right before,or on draft day..I also keep hearing that Pat White is on the Panthers radar big time...They really paid alot of attention to him at the combine last month,and word is....several Panthers scouts showed up at the west virginia pro day today...every other team there had 1 scout..word is the Panthers hd as many as 3 there checking him out closely

Yeah, that whopping 1844 yards he racked up in his best passing year as a senior is sure to wow multiple teams...they better use the 2nd round pick to make sure they get him.

yep...pat white had 1,842 yards passing in 2008... which is an avg. of 141.6 ypg..more importantly you should look at completion percentage..and attempts...not bad on a run first team....speaking of run first..throw in his 974 rushing yards ..thats a total offensive production of 2,816 yards and 29 total td's...also add in that he impressed the scouts at the combine with his arm and accuracy more than any other college qb in the draft..in short..i suggest before you make a smart ass comment...that you download the e-book football for dummies....and learn about the game of football...then come back and engage in football conversations...thanks for playing!!!

White's one of around 5 QBs everyone knows, so this isn't the last time we'll hear a rumor like this. If White could throw to himself on deep routes he wouldn't get drafted here. If he could throw to himself and block downfield for himself he wouldn't get drafted here.
If he could play lit on fire and had a machine gun leg the NFL deemed legal during play to kill defenders we wouldn't draft him.

Which is fine, because he's weak armed, lacks experience in a pro system, and will have a long learning curve. Which is fine, if someone has time and patience. Is he ready to start next year if we need him? No.
Could he be a good QB in the future? Maybe. He's nothing like what we would want, if we wanted a guy.

 

They're going to keep Jake and purposely tank this year to get Tebow.

He'd be an interesting prospect as a KR, which we'll almost certainly need now. I wouldn't complain about having a guy we can use in several different ways, as long as we don't draft him on day one. I think anyone who would be willing to draft him on the first day is out of their mind.
