    No, evidently we don't let our players use scholarship money to buy other students textbooks. We need all the money we can get. It's not just athletics either. The school is funded somewhere near dead last among the 16 UNC system schools by the state legislature even though we are the 4th largest school in the system.

    Was the athletic dept in that bad of shape before joining the A-10? Seems like the alumni would step up and get this guy out. Im not sure what kind of funds you get from alumni but seems like 2.5 mil or so wouldnt be that hard to come up with .

    Dave, we aren't Alabama. The school hasn't been around that long. And no, we didn't have any money during CUSA days either. Many alums, those that care, are just now hitting their money making years. It will come, hopefully, but it will take some time. Maybe football with bring in more alumni donation, but only time will tell. Right now, Lutz is here unless he quits.
