I'd be more than happy with that draft.

I'm not 100% of Kruger's value. His on-field production has been very solid, but he's not explosive. Looks like a top 50 player but not top 50 athlete - not just that the 40 time has been slow, but that for his size I was hoping he'd be a little stronger (i.e., that he'd be more developed given his height/weight). Another concern is he's a junior - though it does suggest a bit of why he's still developing. Do we have a redshirt year to give him?

He does look like a JFG, though. And he has enough athleticism, first step, lateral movement, to be good at right end. I gotta go back and look at him further regarding his leverage.

I like us to pick up a G or T, sure. A guard is preferential because we can use that player in a year if he's developed enough to take on Vincent - but a very cheap OT would be nice given we do have depth that can move around in Wharton. It's a good year for good G/C types, and if we put a CB in that pick (or in the third), there are some fairly thick centers out there we could use.

I'd rather have a CB than a G, but we can get good value from both. Looks like it's going to be a very 'fundamental' draft. Plenty of DL early, then DB and OL. Inevitably there'll be a LB in there.

Is Freeman that highly rated? Besides the idea we have bigger needs (physically).
IMO, before the 5th, we don't need anyone under 260 lbs if he's not a corner.

yeah I'm well versed in the big-armed project ideal and have personally fallen on that sword a few times. I'm not as worried about that as whether he's a legit first day guy.

I guess im just very high on freeman b/c he had no name WR's!

YEAR CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
    2006 140 270 1780 51.9 6.59 80 6 15 25 103.45
    2007 316 499 3353 63.3 6.72 68 18 11 17 127.26
    2008 224 382 2945 58.6 7.71 77 20 8 15 136.48
There are his college stats! every year he got better without any receivers... give him 1 year under jake to learn the playbook and not worry about jake let him go and pass the reigns over to josh... when a QB has arguably the best WR to throw to he should be a top 10 QB i dont see jake ever being that especially with his age... freeman is young, has a rocket arm(could throw it deep to smitty), and can move around in the pocket. I would LOVE to see this guy as a panther!

Freeman will get chosen before we pick in the 2nd round. He might even go in the 1st round. Im thinking our front office will surprise everyone and grab an O-lineman. We're assuming we're gonna draft a D-tackle or corner with our 1st pick, but we all know we draft value over need (Kalil,Connor). If Herman Johnson or Phil Loadholt are still there, we take 'em

And that's all people have to sell him, besides the inconsistent production.
