What about G Kendall Simmons or OT Tra Thomas from the Eagles?
I can see us signing one of those guys cheap, to add depth on our O-line.
Sure theyre not the players they used to be (Simmons coming off season ending injury,Thomas 34yrs old) but it makes sense to sign them to a 1yr deal and have them battle for a spot.

It probably makes more sense to draft a guy in the mid rounds to compete and be a backup, ala Hangartner. You get a lot of value out of a guy like him.

OK nevermind about Tra Thomas.....he just signed with the Jaguars!

Sure drafting an O-lineman in the later rounds would be fine, but we have nobody on our roster right now that would be ready to step in if say...Wharton or Vincent were to get injured.
Thats why Im sure we'll sign a vet (eventually) to give us quality depth.

    some options:
Jags Chris Naeole, Cards Elton Brown, Bills Melvin Fowler, Rams Brett Romberg, Seahawks Floyd Womack, Browns Seth McKinney, and Bengals Eric Ghiaciuc

At 5'9", shouldn't he have thrown up more than 12 reps? That seems pretty light.
