I've shared my thoughts on this before. Maybe you missed it. But I will share them again for what it's worth. As I said before I am 52 years old and have seen a lot of ups and downs in our economy in those years I can remember. However what I am seeing transpire today is like the perfect storm recession. We are facing more problems at one time{good paying job loses, home forecloses, record trade deficits, record high gas prices, record national debt,a stupid war that's already cost taxpayers nearly 2 billion dollars, and I could go on. The only time in history that compares to this was the start of the great depression. Hopefully things won't crash to that point because of the safeguards FDR and the Democrats forced into place during the Great Depression to guard our economy. {FDIC,Social Security,Unemployment Insurance,ETC}.I really don't know how we will dig ourself out of this mess and I feel sorry for the person,be it Democrat or Republican that inherits it. This recession and the Iraq war will be Bush's legacy.:no:

what safe guards? this mess the entire mess can be laid at the feet of government intervention at every level of regulation.

FDR put in place the foundation of how to take a harsh market correction and stretch it into a long term recession.

why did i bother to read this. i wish the ignore function made it so you didn't exist in my tbr world....
