I get irritated with refs as much as anyone but I will not hang them up, the amount of games they have to do during the season is unreal. There needs to be more refs. Some of these guys are working 5 nights a week and each of those nights they are in a different city within a region. That's too much travel, and over a month has to have a substantial effect on their in game performance.

Has it really taken the whole season for people to figure out the refs suck?

There is a video of Hansbrough dribbling once then taking 6 steps to score a basket. I think it was on "Knight Watch" on ESPN when Bob Knight was complaining about refs not calling a "walk."

so one video, and if i remember right he was fouled and it not called. it was done to make up for it, and at best you've got the 1 hansbrough incedent, and MULTIPLE duke incidents shown.

    There's two... sooooooo...

Just b/c it doesn't end up on YouTube doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'll admit, does he always travel as blatantly as the scheyer, elliot williams, and McRoberts videos posted... No, but those are 3 cases vs. the 2 I just linked. He travels most times under the basket. Whether you believe he was fouled or not is irrelevant as contact happens just about all the time as a post player.

you're not seriously comparing those relatively tiny steps to the dancing manuevers of the Duke videos? Sure, they were both missed travels, but really...

I wish Youtube and the Internet (as we know it) existed in the 80's.

I did say that they weren't as bad as the 3 Duke ones that have been posted didn't I?

    Yep, there it is.

A travel is a travel, and while those weren't horrendous, they were still really bad. Five steps is far beyond "tiny steps", and the other is a step, hop step (by now he has already traveled), shuffle step. A not so bad travel would be the pivot foot sliding (not lifting).
