Restaurants will have to carry bottles for a while before they will be allowed to carry it on tap.

back in the day, we'd make several ski/snowboard trips to CO a year. We always loaded the car up with that stuff to bring back. Mountain hippies love their beer.

When my Mom moved to CO for a while, I flew out there with her to help. The neighbors all came over with six packs of Fat Tire as welcoming presents. It was awesome.

I never understood why people freaked out about it so much but it is good. I guess it goes back to when not every region of the country had good local beer.

fat tire is, by and large, over-rated, but I also smuggled back a six from Seattle last year. It's unquestionably good, and no one else has really mastered amber ale like they have. Their other beers are better but other people make those styles as well.

So happy to see things like this, Stone, Lagunitas in the last year. I guess Sweetwater is finally in NC as well. Now if I can just get Lost Abbey or Russian River.

fat tire is very overrated. The wit is way better. I'll take a Stone over any New Belguim beer.

It was 1994, so it hadn't been around that long and was still very local. I think it was a great way to welcome new people to the neighborhood and to introduce them to a localized product.
