You sure it wasn't just a USAir jet with their logo on it? Teams don't really have their own plane. They use a commercial airlines to charter their flights for games. I have seen a USAir plane with the Iggles logo on it parked outside a gate at the airport here before.

US Airways unveils Philadelphia Eagles airplane
    Updated 10/9/2006 1:44 PM ET

Eagles take flight: US Airways unveils a plane painted in support of the Philadelphia football team.

By Dawn Gilbertson, The Arizona Republic
US Airways is an equal opportunity plane painter.
The Tempe airline, which has an Arizona Cardinals plane and an Arizona Diamondbacks plane in its fleet under sponsorship agreements, on Thursday unveiled a Philadelphia Eagles plane. The football team's cheerleaders and pep band were on hand, as was US Airways Chief Executive Doug Parker.

The airline, formed by last year's merger of America West and US Airways, has one of its largest hubs and thousands of employees in Philadelphia.

One of the first assignments for the green and white Airbus A319: a United Way jet pull contest.

Phoenix passengers aren't likely to see the Eagles plane much, as it mainly will fly shorter routes on the East Coast. The Cardinals and D-Backs planes, Boeing 757s, are used between Phoenix and Hawaii. US Airways has its biggest hub in Charlotte, but don't look for a Carolina Panthers plane. The team doesn't have a sponsorship agreement with the airline.

The only way that the 'Miracle on the Hudson' would've been better would've been if that plane is the one that sunk.
