    Andruw Jones who has eaten himself out of a contract will surface with the Texas Rangers. Signed a minor league deal. His stubborn attitude at the plate and his refusal to get in shape has cost him a buck or two.

    And talk to any hitting coach about the fact that it's not a sin to wait on a pitch and take it to right. Any pitcher that throws him a fastball anywhere near the plate should be fined.

    You don't have to be thin to hit. That's not his problem. Texas seems like an odd fit, though, considering that they have several quality outfielders. I guess Atlanta had no interest.

    I think he will be ok. He has already made more than $100 million in his career.

    Well to a point, you can absolutely get heavy enough that it slows your swing down and mess up your timing.
