So you talking about Clemson needing to validate themselves with another win over another team, because of the win over dook really didn't validate them? Or was it just only the next game after pounding dooks ass the only game that could really validate their season? Seems to me the other 18 wins they have so far and the ass pounding they gave dook would be enough. Them losing to FSU certainly doesn't take anything away from the dook win or make dook look any better, actually it makes dook look that much worse.

I'm happy about the win simply because I want as many ACC teams as possible in the tournament. I was pulling for Miami for the same reason. Rankings in January or February don't even matter. The only things that matter in college basketball are the tournaments.

True and the conference seems a lot more balanced so far this year.

once again the douchbag chimes in.

If you have ever watched the Skins game (PGA Tour)....when a player wins a skin on a hole, the next hole he must validate the previous skin by at least tying the low score or winning it out right.....

My point is, as i would contend even when teams beat UNC....You (a team/fanbase) don't play your national championships in Feb, so a big win is great, a thrashing even better, but when the next game comes around you gotta be ready to play especially when it is against a lesser oppnent, (also a team that was beaten by the team you just beat and on their home court)......that is my point about validating, nothing to do with how it makes Duke look....its more to do with how you have to come to play for EVERY game, not just the big ones. As far is the other 18 wins Clemson has, were any of them over top 10 teams, top 25 teams even? (Wisconson maybe?)

So now we are changing college basketball to be like the Skins game (PGA Tour)? So by your logic dook didn't come ready to play as well? So with dook losing to Clemson does that unvalidate them as a team?

How about a team that gets humiliated and in the next game just barely squeaks by another lower rated opponent at home? What is that team validating?

FSU has done a great job this year. barring a collapse they should be going dancing. That win comes close to sealing it for them. 3 of their 5 losses are to Pitt, UNC, and Duke all by single digits and the UNC game was a buzzer beater. I think out of Miami, BC, VT, and FSU 3 of the 4 make it with VT or BC getting left out. I think Miami loses next weekend to UNC then wins 4 of their last 5 and wins their first tourney game to get them in to the dance, but they have a lot of work to do at 4-7 in the league. BC is very weird. One minute they look legit. The next they are losing to Harvard and getting crushed

all things considered, yes, they did get humiliated and then turned around to play a team that just humiliated the #6 team in the country......

like i said, validating is Getting up for your big game, Winning it and then showing the country/conference/fans that you are ready to make noise by following it up with another win (to a lesser opponent).
