I don't necessarily believe my religion is "the real religion". I pass other churches along the way that believe similar things, and I pass ones that don't. I don't tell any they're wrong.

I just love it when ECILAM cuts loose with his intellect & depth. Makes me all tingly :mushy:

Even better--I can dispute one tiny little point with him without feeling like I'm about to make a fool of myself.

It actually is possible for a virgin to get pregnant. She does have to have the right parts in the vicinity of the causing agent, but she need not cross that technical line. And somebody needs to be pointing this out to a lot of foolish youngsters.

Seriously, ECILAM--I do love reading your posts. You always make me think, & often entertain me as well.

My answer to the central question: Mine doesn't claim to be the right one for everyone. One reason it's the right one for me.

Confusion say: There's only one God/Spirit, people's perspectives upon God make the different religions. If everybody realized this it'd be easier to get along. And, the various religions aren't wrong it's the people(who try to force their will on me) that are wrong. Consequently, I'm more a spiritualist, stay away from religions, per se. It's kinda lonely sometimes, but peaceful.

how do you figure? natural selection isn't celebrity death match -- it's not about which animal could beat up the other. it's about the ability to survive and prosper.

This is a great definition, but how does it account for multi-diety societies (Norse, Hindu, Native American, etc..). When you say there's ONE God, do you actually mean ONE, or some greater force out there that doesn't relate to an actual count ?

The way I see it is this: God IS one. Multiple gods & goddesses are like cells & organs. I'm AK, but I have millions of cells that make up me. An ultimate God would have to encompass all the characteristics that make up the universe IMO--male & female, intellect & emotion, & so on. People who recognize multiple gods & goddesses are looking at separate aspects of God.

Likewise we human beings, along with all the animals, minerals, & plants are all part of the earth. The earth is one, but we're all individual aspects of it.

Jeez, JB--I love ya, but sometimes you confuse the hell out of me  I should be insulted, LOL.
