speaking of Aspartame, anybody have the 411 on Splenda? i use it excusively in my daily oatmeal and coffee. should i just be using sugar instead? it isnt much, a half teaspoon in the oatmeal and three in a 14 oz. coffee. but its every single day.

I come from a Land Way Downunder.
Personally, if it's only half a teaspoon - I'd use sugar (raw if possible or even honey). I understand that Splenda doesn't contain aspartame, but sucralose - which is just as bad in my opinion as it's another synthetic product that's going in you.

I'm glad that you've cut back Paul. Have you ever heard of the Liver Cleansing Diet? Really scary - but some good information in the book about the effects artificial sweetners, booze and other toxic shit has on our bodies. Hey - and congratulations on the weightloss - that's awesome!

Find out your ALT and AST. You need to know HOW fucked up they are. A few points.... stay away from the booze and Tylenol for a while and see what happens. 40-50 points..... you need to go to a GI specialist.

Your pee turning brown and your feces turning a pale white/tan may indicate liver failure, also.

Got my levels back. Here are the previous levels, normal levels and second test looking at only liver levels (enzymes)

    ALT 43 0-40 29
    AST 60 0-40 26

I have had 3 beers since the first of the year (at the playoff debacle) and I don't remember taking abundance of Tylenol. Levels are good now and I am at 10% body weight loss now. I am going for a total of 25% total weight loss by the end of May.
