I wouldn't be upset with Haslett. Or McGinnis at DL. Both have the ability to kick ass when needed.

Latest from Gantt on the coaching situation: Closing up shop for the night

Herm putting Keyshawn in his place would make great TV :smiley2:

I think it will be hard for Herm to be a head coach again. It's rare that a guy gets a third chance, and even though he wasn't fired in NY, that's pretty much what it would be. Plus I think I remember watching a TV segment on him a few years ago, and he said he wanted to retire early.

If he really does want to coach in '09, Carolina makes the most sense.

McGinness wouldn't make a move to become a position coach. He'd likely only even talk to us for a coordinator spot.

I like Herm to come here. It does make sense.

And I don't see Herm on TV. A little volatile, and TV is fucking busting at the seams for former players and coaches anyway.

I think they could find a spot for him on TV somewhere. These shows have become cess pools anyway. The only time I watched NFL Countdown this season, I think I saw 12 different guys on camera.

See, to me, that's too much. I just don't see a guy used to making $4 mil or so a year being happy with a very minor role on TV. I don't see that working out.

But he's not the only DBs coach out there, either. It'd just be nice to get a strong personality there to help out, help reform, and maybe help do some of the things that Fox was considered to be going over Trgovac's toes on.
