    Wrigley might be the deepest down the lines, but most home runs are hit between left center and right center, where Wrigley is actually one of the shortest parks in MLB.

    The fact that Bonds hated his guts is a huge plus for him.

    I think he'll benefit from the fact that so many players in his era will have the shadow of steriods over their careers and he won't.

    not to mention, Sandberg also won a home run derby...oh wait...something that actually matters: he hit .385 in the post season

    So what will he do differently to deserve a 2nd or 6th ballot vote? This whole 1st ballot thing is bullshit. Either you are a hall of famer or not.

    So he gets in becuase he was hard to get along with? He did not field like Sandberg. He did not hit for average. He just hit homeruns and nobody liked him. Interesting.

    In or out his numbers will not change now. So if he gets in, he should go in 1st ballot. All he could do now is campaign for the voters. Not sure he is that kind of guy.

    He wasn't Tony Gwynn, but a lifetime average of .290 is nothing to sneeze at. From 1998 to 2007, he never hit lower than .289, and only once in that span did his slugging percentage dip below .500.
