The bigger question is this.

In the make believe play where 49er is a make believe High School QB during a make believe 4th and 12 with the make believe clock coming to a make believe end, why would the make believe QB call a make believe "come back route" knowing that the make believe defense has to guard the make believe 1st down marker and is not concerned about a make believe touch down pass? The make believe QB would be better off throwing the ball to the make believe half back in the make believe open field and giving the make believe best runner on the make believe field a chance to break a make believe DB tackle with the help of the make believe WR's blocking.

I love make believe.

Dear Collin, yes I know A Few Good Men. Problem is, your tone often gives the impression you just might feel that way for real. And while internet keeps us all mystery to each other I might point out (not that you give a shit) that I am a female old enough to be your mother most likely and therefore despite my lack of great football knowledge expect some courtesy. You may have a lot of football knowledge, but in this world that doesn't make you a great or even good human being. Have you ever dropped everything to sit by the side of an ill or injured family member or friend including traveling cross country? Ever prevented someone from killing themselves - not just stop the act but stick around and help them believe in themselves or life? Stopped a crime that potentially could have hurt people physically? Just been a good friend to many people throughout your life, someone they count themselves fortunate to have?

I am indeed a Panther fan, but life in '08 reminded me that football is a GAME and as much as I love it, there are other more important things. My Dad died and while that was sad, a lot of wonderful things came from that. I spent more time in a single year with him then I ever had before - my parents split when I was 6 and Dad lived in NY. We met a lot of wonderful people who were his friends and are now like family to us. In all it's sadness, there were many blessings.

I work at a job I'm sure you & 49er would look down on because my income isn't in the 6+ figures, but I love what I do and I am damned good at it. I've been married to a wonderful guy for going on 26 years, have a step daughter who had a rough childhood with a lot of alcoholics & druggies in her Mom's family but grew into a good adult and now I have a Grandson who I hope we can all raise to be a caring person more then anything.

All this doesn't mean a thing to most on this board, but I grew up in a time when people cared about their fellow man and wouldn't think twice about helping a friend or neighbor if needed. Now people only seem to be out for #1 and won't think twice about stabbing others in the back to get what they want. Very sad way to go through life. If someone offered me a chance to be young again but in this time period, NO WAY.

I'd love to have been in Charlotte today to see US play in the Championship. That is one of my dreams. I'm SICK that Peppers is leaving. It's not easy for me to say bad things about people, but I'm ready to see a new QB. I've missed one home game since Ericsson/BofA opened and I stay for the whole thing every time win or lose. It hurts this year because I do believe we have a lot of the pieces for a SB team in place. Will we have another shot next season or in the near future? Don't know and I'm not overly optimistic right now.

I haven't seen ANY football since our last game and have no interest. If it isn't Panthers it isn't football to me.

But I still have a great husband, wonderful family, good friends, a job, animals I love and if weather permits I'll go ride my horse Wed which will get rid of any stresses I may have.

Got laundry to fold so I'll stop rambling and just wish you some joy in your life. Peace.
