we did trade Jenkins and he was alot more vocal about wanting out-Pep would be a hot comodity and if he wants to leave we should at least get something in return-id franchise him ad see what we get-we could always rescind the tag if we cant, provided he doesnt sign the offer sheet

We could. How many times has that happend outside of the guy with the mullet last year?

Seems if it was so easy to do, it would happen all the time. Like every single time.

well we are not going to let him go for nothing. Trade him to Seattle for a 1st rounder and draft Johnson from GA Tech

His workout numbers didn't carry over into immediate impact ? Shocking.

They spent both 1st and 2nd on an end last year, their owner doesn't want to spend big after the Jerry Porter/Drayton Florence fuckups....not seeing it.

Gantt has a little more on it today.

His agent says there is no chance whatsoever of him signing a long term deal in Charlotte, so if they franchise him and can't work out a trade they'll have to eat his cap figure.

He's also saying that he wants to be a 3-4 linebacker.

it's entirely possible that it doesn't happen. Most free agents you don't get anything for. He's not "most free agents", but it'll cost them $17 million to force a pick out of someone.

    Explain....

they will be on the hook for the 17 million if they get a pick after tagging and trading?
