I'm no great and powerful Collin, but who is Brett Farve?? If you mean Brett Favre...then you just eliminated any chance to take anything you post seriously, you stupid fucktard.

(Certainly not 3 pages, but there was a hint of Collin-esqueness, right?)

Not bad but it is kinda like an Elvis impersonation everyone can do it a little but it rarely holds a candle to the real thing.

Because we wisely refused to resign him the last 3 years?

we've tried to sign him for the last two, and I have to imagine we do want him so the offers had to be serious.

Collin, in 1989 I was QB'ing my HS team in a potential game winning drive down by 4 with under 2 minutes to play. A penalty put us in a 4th and 12 situation from their 40. The right corner was giving a 10 yard cushion so I signaled to the reciever to run a come back route on him. The corner read it and jumped the route which resulted in a pick six and obviously lost us the game.

My coach was furious because I had ignored the half back who had chipped and released and was open on a little swing route which the coach claimed could have possibly gone for a TD. I had glanced at the back but had been taught coming up never to throw short of the first down marker in those situations.
My question is do you think I made the right decision? This throw has been haunting me for years and it would be great if you could put it to rest for me.

Apparently you don't get that I am actually giddy about this. While you think you're "teaching me a lesson," I think it's awesome that you're not only obliterating that lie you keep telling about how I don't bother you, but you're also showing that you'll let that personal animosity affect how you moderate. Everyone already knows that I'm an asshole, and certain people create threads to attack me with regularity. None of that is new. What you're accomplishing is to make it clear that you'll employ one set of rules for yourself and another for people you don't like. I can't believe you didn't realize I'd be entertained by that.

    erpi:
"Comeback route"? Were you playing sandlot football? Maybe you meant to say hook, curl, fade-stop, or something else. "Comeback routes" are something you shouldn't be running beyond pee wee. In any case, I imagine that it still would have worked if you had thrown the ball before your receiver turned. As for the halfback, that would obviously depend on what the coverage looked like.

Why would telling you what's not acceptable here be "affecting me"? I've said for a long time, don't chase people off. The end result is you have a problem with me saying it, not with what's being said.

I'm not that concerned with what you say, but moving threads that make you look bad while protecting threads that attack me proves me correct about who you are and how you behave. Your personal animosity towards me affects how you moderate. You'll use your position to protect yourself and attack me. I could have spend fifty threads accusing you of this and I never would have done a better job of "proving" your bias than you just did in the last day. That's fantastic.

Jesus Christ, Thelt. You make one good post that people rightly praise for its cleverness and then you ruin that by beating it to death.
