    Reading his statement makes me think he hated the "moving around" thing as much as many fans did.

    (I was never too high on it myself)

    ESPN News stated in their open that Peppers did not want the franchise tag.

    His agent's statement doesn't say that, but if it's true this could turn nasty real quick.

    Most players don't want the franchise tag. That's the only way the Panthers have to get any kind of value, what does he expect them to do?

    it takes some of his leverage away, means he has to work within Carolina's parameters if he wants to play or be traded. Sure, it's less than ideal for him. It'll probably happen, though, given what things are heading toward.
