Oh no, you don't respect my opinion...how sad for me. Again don't mistake my willingness to push your buttons as bitterness on my part.

which in and of itself makes you pathetic.
I take heart in knowing that I'm pretty good at making you angry. But you're still wrong in this argument.

I realize I'm not the first person who gets a kick out of watching you go through your antics. Eventually, I'll get tired of it and stop. Someone else will come along and do the same thing to you and you'll react the exact same way. You're the gift that keeps on giving.
I'm not humiliating myself at all. If you don't believe I'm sincerely only doing this to piss you off maybe ten more pages of argument will change your mind.

Thanks for trying to tell me what I feel. But this whole paragraph might just be the most incorrect thing you've ever posted. I'm sure that nobody is still actually reading this tit for that battle of wits except me and you, so nobody thinks I'm a clueless retard here. Second, you didn't expose my stupidity, you proved me right. Third I can't come up with anything after the fact because we're still in the middle of this because you won't admit that you're wrong.
By all means pretend those turnovers didn't happen and don't count the drives that resulted from them. It bolsters your argument. Then you can pretend that we would have put together 15 play all rushing drives that would have scored TD's. If you do that you can pretend that we won the game. Then when someone slaps you in the face and says "we lost the game" pretend you don't know what the definition of "winning the game" is and argue that because we actually did score a couple of time we didn't lose.

After I do post my incredibly stupid comments, should I shout down anyone who disagrees with me and then claim victory when they get tired of arguing and quit the thread? If I do that, then can I claim to have some sort of superior intellect and knowledge of the topic at hand?

How exactly does the fact that we had a drive with no runs after we went down by 20 points refute my argument? It pretty damn clearly shoots yours to shit...and it's eating you up inside.

yes, my whopping 2.49 posts per day certainly indicates that I take this a lot more seriously than just a time killer. I also never said anything about posting intelligently if I wanted to, I post things that either interest or amuse me. If you(or anyone else for that matter) don't like my opinion, I couldn't care less. Seriously, I couldn't care less. I know that you don't understand it because being an internet bigwig is your whole life, but some people truly don't care what people they've never met and in all likelihood will never meet think of them.

No the reality is that I come here and post a couple of times a day to fill the time between things that are going on in my real life. I don't try to convince the world of my intellect and expertise, and I wouldn't care if every single poster in this place hated me. But way to try to shift the argument away from the fact that we abandoned the run in order to get people to forget how wrong you are.

There you go again, pretending not to know what abandoning the run means. But whatever you have to do in order to get yourself out of this mess, go ahead.

Believe me, EVERYONE here but you thinks I'm totally crushing you.

Again, I have more self respect than to ever be humiliated by anything that happens on the internet.

My story hasn't changed one single bit, while you've done nothing but backpedal and qualify earlier statements when I've called you out on your errors. And you, or anybody else for that matter, hasn't shown anything I've posted to be wrong....and it's killing you.

Now that just hurts. Not really because in spite of your cruel words I take comfort in the fact that I'm unquestionably right. The Panthers abandoned the run against the Cardinals.

not to but in but I doubt anyone's putting thought into it.

Also, I don't think the term "abandoning the run" is quite as literally applied in this league as not ever running the ball from that point on at all. Even Mike Martz ran the ball now and again.

I have no illusions about the interest level of the exchange.

We've covered the whole "I'm making myself look stupid on purpose just to piss Collin off" angle. It's not very believable when you start using that excuse after you've gotten your ass kicked.

I think you need to pretend like you made yourself look stupid on purpose. If you can at least tell yourself that it's intentional, then maybe you won't be bothered as much by the fact that no one thinks you have any intelligence. And shoot, maybe someone else will buy that nonsense too. The part you're missing, though, is that for people to believe that you're being stupid on purpose in this thread, you'd need to show some capacity for insight somewhere else. So far in all your posts no one has ever seen anything but stupidity. That makes it hard to believe that this is all an act on your part.

Look, when you started your part in this argument you were clearly trying to be sincere. You momentarily forgot that you're a complete moron totally incapable of arguing with anyone intelligent about any subject. You, because you are stupid, actually believed that we did abandon the run against Arizona. It is obviously a common belief among the stupid, as the ones saying so are the same people who get routinely mocked for their ignorance. Then after I provided facts showing that you were being an idiot, then you decided to pretend that you didn't really believe any of this stuff and it was all just a trick to make me angry.

First, you claimed that the game was over when we went down by 20 points. If we're to accept that proposition, then the drive in question wouldn't even be applicable. Second (and I make this point because I believe you're sincere about this stupidity), we've had at least one drive in every game this season where we did not run the ball. That does not mean you have "abandoned the run" either.

It's the fact that you never post anything intelligent that illustrates your inability to do so. You can't really pretend that it's always an act. And that's why no one ever gives a shit about anything you have to say, because no one believes you're capable of saying something worth noting.

Before we start, I have to admit that I thought you would finally get it and not respond...but no. So on we go.

yeah, except I didn't get my ass kicked. There are two things this thread proved. One, I am right in saying that we did abandon the run. Two, even when confronted with straight hard facts you are completely unable to admit when you're wrong.

I disagree. Everyone here but you can read this whole thing and tell that I'm obviously doing this just to rile you up. But that's because everyone else here knows that the Panthers did indeed abandon the run. I have facts on my side, so whether or not you want to admit it, everything you typed is false.

Yes, I sincerely believe that we abandoned the run. Because we abandoned the run.

actualy I thought I'd see how long and how drawn out I could get you to argue a point that you're clearly wrong about.

who in this case are 100% correct.

facts? you don't post facts you post your opinions. The fact that you confuse your opinions with facts is part of what makes you who you are.

I have never one time said I wasn't serious about believing that we abandoned the run. Are you sure you're reading the right thread? Maybe you have this pointless internet argument confused with any one of the hundreds of others you no doubt have going right now?

What I said was that I'm fucking with you to piss you off. Not about whether we abandoned the run, because there's no debate about that. You're wrong.

No, I claimed the game was over at halftime. You then started bouncing around with when the game should be considered over because sometimes when you argued you needed to have been over at one point, then other times you needed it to be over at a different point. The reason you have to bounce around and deal in "what if's" is because your argument clearly is at odds with the actual facts of the game. But I told you early on that you could dance around all you want, so I guess it's partly my fault too.

yep. And in games when we did "abandon the run", we ran the ball after the game was settled. The fact that you on occasion run the ball doesn't mean that you didn't "abandon the run".

That means a lot coming from you. It really does.

Do you honestly not realize that you're playing out the same part hundreds of morons have done before you? These are not original ideas. Countless other idiots have pretended that they just posted stupid things to piss me off and not because they're actually stupid. Many of those have also pretended that it's just some big trap to keep me posting that I keep falling for. The reality is that I'm going to post whenever I have something to say, it's not going to be dictated by your nonsense. It's not hard to piss me off and it's not hard to get me to respond. You're not some evil genius by achieving either. What you are is a complete and utter moron who has never at any point posted anything intelligent, and that's why your bullshit about this all being some act ends up ringing so hollow.

Let me summarize for anyone who might still be following along with this nonsense. From the time that Arizona took the lead (1:51 left in the 1st) until the point at which the Cardinals made it 30-7 (4:44 left in the 3rd), the Carolina Panthers had seven offensive possessions. Two of those ended in Jake Delhomme turnovers on the very first play. One other drive consisted of three passes before punting. Aside from those, every single possession featured us running the ball on one of the first two plays. Every single one, despite Arizona crowding the box with eight defenders. The obvious truth is that Jeff Davidson stuck with the run much, much longer than most offensive coordinators would have given the score. I've been critical of his play-calling at various times this season, but accusing him of "abandoning the run" is idiocy, which is why only the biggest morons on TBR have done so.

In my short time here, I haven't posted a single thing that you or probably any others would consider to be a valuable contrbution to this board, but I feel a need to post this.

YOU ARE ONE STUPID MOTHER FUCKER.

It's amazing how much ignorance one finds by simply clicking on "find all posts by Collin". I won't make that mistake again.
