It would seem to depend on how much money he wants. You could obviously do worse than having him as a combo guard who can either play with or behind Augustin. He probably wants to start at the point somewhere else, though. Ironic that the one Tar Heel pick to work out for the Bobcats will end up leaving.

He'd be the perfect Vinnie Johnson type if only the league was deep enough for a team to have a Vinnie Johnson type. I'd love to convince him to stay and get a competent 2 to round out the guard rotation. With Felton's size there are a handful of 2's that he can guard in the league. He seems to like playing here too. I hope we don't give him away for Diop or Curry or some other guy with size.

I am still not sure why Larry Brown had such a hard on for a point guard. Felton has never been terrible. DJ looks like he will be solid too though. I am not sure who else was there but a post player would have helped us more than a backup point guard this season.

Especially considering they could have had Mario Chalmers, who actually looks pretty good and is starting in Miami, for that 20th pick that they traded for.

Don't know that Vinnie Johnson is a very good comparison, because Felton is a decent player & competent scorer, but not a hair on the ballsack of the Microwave when it comes to dropping buckets. I smell what your cooking with the rest of it.

he's a good nba quality player. Will never be a super star.

I hope we keep him, but I hope that we don't foresake needs (SG) to keep him around.
