I find it funny Miami won a National Championship the year after Davis left.

 

Yea and Florida won them with and with out Spurrier. But funny NOTHING CLOSE has be duplicated at USC. So If I was guessing....I would say UNC fans are probably "worried" that their little window of opportunity may close before Butch is exposed as a one hit Big east wonder......I will say NOTHING i have seen on ON THE FIELD the last TWO years has me anywhere close to worried about UNC. As I said without Daniel Evans..LAST YEAR would have been every bit as bad as this year. And there IS NOT that much of a talent gap.

 

Oh come on. This is just embarrassing. Stick to repeating 41-10 over and over again, because there at least you're telling the truth. This other bullshit is just revealing incredible insecurities.

even being a Tar Heel fan - nothing is more hilarious (and pitiful) to see the fans of two mediocre (at best) college football teams trading jabs page after page after page.

Neither school is, has ever been, or will ever be a major player in college football. I hope Davis coaches UNC for 15 more years, if he does UNC will be succesful more seasons than not; even then they'll just be an after thought most years as the BCS teams are playing in the big bowls.

I am by no means calling him phenomenal...just a little better at the scheming than Davis. This isnt a personal attack on you or on Davis. Just my opinion.

Look...I'm not trying to bash Butch. I just feel that, yes, he is a much, much better recruiter than TOB. I also feel that TOB is a slightly better X's and O's type than Davis.

Do they cancel out? Does Davis still have the edge with better talent? I dunno.

It's a fair point but most of us are just cracking on each other here and well, there is one still screaming about his perfect objectivity as well as threatening implications. Other than that, it's the good fun that most of us have with this rivalry that pretty much no one outside of North Carolina even thinks about.

These days you hear about anyone who gets contacted about an interview, even if the coach declines. Tom O'Brien hasn't been mentioned as a candidate for NFL jobs because he's not viewed as that caliber of coach. He's a good college coach. It's just absurd for people to insist that O'Brien is a better coach than Davis when he's never had the success that Davis did, either at the college level or obviously in the NFL. It's stupidity from people who just don't like Carolina.

I didn't know your stupidity was an act meant to be humorous. My mistake. And speaking of stupidity, all your subsequent obsession with "implications" suggests that you have no idea what I was saying. Try looking up the word in a dictionary. There was nothing "threatening" about them, you retard. I was saying that you're afraid of acknowledging Butch's recruiting superiority because you're scared that it means State will start to fall behind Carolina in football too, leaving you with no sports to even dream about competing in.

For those keeping track, the Heels class has slipped to 6th on both Rivals and Scout. Let's all hope that they don't slip anymore or they risk becoming not as 'good' as Amato's class and well, that defeats the whole point.
