Or we bring in a QB who is a scoring threat to pile on top of a consistent running game threat....then we're not only a contender, we are who the SB goes through. This has been the whole point of us guys you all wanna label "Jake haters". He is a mediocre QB and the weakest link in our offense.

The lack of a reliable passing game was certainly a problem, but no, it wasn't a huge one. I strongly disagree with your second statement, though. We finished 7th in points, but also 12th in points allowed despite playing much, much better offenses than defenses.
It's a lot more than once in a while. His last two playoff games have both been awful, Saturday's performance was one of the worst in NFL playoff history, 11/9 against Oakland was one of the worst in franchise history, and Delhomme saw most of his statistical indicators decline this season. I thought that his decreased accuracy might have been a result of rust, but it didn't get better over the course of the season. Any completion percentage below 60% is bad for this era of the NFL, and it looks even worse when you think about the quality of receivers we have. And having as many turnovers as passing touchdowns is unacceptable. If the Panthers want to be legitimate contenders, they need better production out of their quarterback, whether that's Jake or someone else.

    Shieeeet!

I thought QB's are suppose to win football games, I never knew they had to be statistically great too.

Guess Ben and Joe have no chance at really winning the Superbowl, seeing as they are statistically worse than Delhomme. Such a shame too. Pittsburgh and Baltimore should just go home after the AFC Championship.

Are they playing for the AFC Championship this year?

Nope. Joe and Ben are and they are shitty than Delhomme, "statistically". Go figure.

I agree, Delhomme dug us a big hole. But I also think the coaching is to blame also. I am also in believance that it's not always the stats. As was said before B-Roth is worse that JD, and look at what he has done in the 'crunch time'. For example, what he did before half against Baltimore. Need not say more. It's not always about talent, but about leading the talents around you. The problem with JD, is when he gets down and doesn't lead, someone else has to pull him out by playing well and getting him excited, because when he sucks, and everyone else starts to fall apart, then he just gets down more. You have to have a mentally tough QB, and he's not what I would say is 'mentally tough'. But I do think that as for leadership, he's not bad. I think his play could use some tweaking, but it is what it is.

Not at all. I'm talking about the leadership it takes to lead a football team and everyone else is talking about stats. Delhomme lost this game with the 5 turnovers, but he won 12 others this season.

Ben and Joe are not statistically better then Jake. If we are saying Jake is statistically not a good enough QB to lead the Panthers, then that means Ben and Joe are in the same boat. I hope that's what you idiots are trying to say, because if you want to drop the guy for 1 horrible game, then you're complete morons.

They won 12 despite him, not because of him. You are making an ass of yourself to the surprise of nobody.
