....since your post wasn't finished, let me help you out.....................Thornton concludes his career getting kicked to the curb along with Richie Rich, the can't miss recruit from Ga.
OK Franchise, this thread has been pure "stink" concerning Butch/UNC committing more kids than they have scholarships for! How on earth can you, a very smart sportsfan, actually post that UNC has a "miracle", yep, 2 schollies open up!
If the 2 above were hurt and could not playout their career then I say I truly hate that for the players. If they don't have the grades, then its a good thing that they concentrate on school.
If they are 5.0 GPA Med school candidates I say great.
If their "total semester" ruling kicked in, then Butch would have known that and this is no new news.
    What happened?
Call your buds on the UNC staff and fill us in.
Short of that, you're perpetuating the theory that Butch is turning his back on his players, dissing them and their scholarships, in favor of bringing in new kids.
    Yes or No?

Or it could be the kid who had his mother murdered by her boyfriend at the time and the boyfriend set fire to the house and his brother would have been killed by the fire if it wasn't for a newspaper boy passing by and seeing the flames and alerted the brother to get out. The kid is dealing with some personal problems that many kids his age never have to deal with. I don't agree with how he handled the situation but it is done and he has to face the charges brought upon him.

Doesn't Jared McAdoo have a hearing on Jan. 15th for a felony drug dealing charge?

44Magnum, we can never say how they would have contributed next year because who would have thought that Robbie Leonard would start for NCSU. Clearly, they were shown the door to make room for some of these academic rejects coming in. The point being that thinking some recruit with some staaaas is going to change the team is silly. If the coach can't coach them up, it doesn't matter (look at Amato for additional proof of that). At the very least though, Butch can claim the youngest team in America again as he continues to get rid of Junior/Senior experience from his team. Should be worth a million dollar raise at UNC-CH.

Nothing to see here. I'm sure the judge will give him a very tough book report for trying to hook a bunch of kids on prescription drugs and possibly permanently screw up their entire lives.

I mean, clearly it is much worse for an 18 year old, who just went through one of the most traumatic experiences any 18 year old could go through, to beat the crap out of someone making a pass on his girl. Should have just done like McAdoo and sold him some drugs instead.

What ever happened to Kyle Linney from Alexander Central High School who signed with NC State a couple years ago. I heard he went to Prep School for a year according to Newspaper. Did he ever play or is he still on the team?

Didn't play a down. Never stepped foot on the field. Didn't practice much, before he was shown the door.
