I wouldn't necessarily pin the loss on Jake. Just the ass woopin'.

Carolina shut down it's own rushing attack.

And my point was that if you take out the longest run in 90% of those games for AP, those defenses held him in check. But I guess it's a good thing for AP or DW that they do count all the stats.

Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but I don't think the coaching staff would abandon their gameplan until we were behind.

yep. Both drives had turnovers on their first plays...both pass attempts, I believe.

There are two of their attempts.

    There's the other one.

This is blatently false. We were in shotgun formation that play and even though the whistle blew they started to run the play. Jake started dropping back to pass and Deangelo pulled up to start blocking.

    No argument there.

Yeah, all that's true...except the part where you said we didn't abandon the run. Clearly we did.

I must say, I'm new to this part of TBR, but in just a day I can tell your maturity needs some, fine tuning to say the least. I am a "team first" attitude, so blaming it on one person, in no case is 100% accurate. The way you stated your point is ridiculous, and immature. You were also proven wrong, on 75% of your posts. So next time before you jump the gun, as yourself first. I rest my case and this will be the last post on that part of the subject, I apologize for getting off topic.

However I agree, DW and JS needed to step up when their QB was suffering, one other thing I saw, only Otah, and Gross patted jake on the shoulder and said hey don't let your head down just yet. So the team didn't exactly help matters. Secondly, why don't you not pin all the blame on Jake, and share it on the OC (o-coordinator), as he has to call the pass plays before they happen.

Are you sure you're not confusing that with the false start later on King?

You shouldn't let your bitterness towards me lead you to ignore the facts, as that only serves to make you look worse. "Abandoning the run" doesn't mean passing on first down. Nor does it even mean passing the majority of the time. "Abandoning the run" means to stop running the ball with any frequency, you fucking moron. Aside from the two possessions where we turned it over on the first play, there was only one drive where we failed to attempt a running play until we were down 30-7 and had to stop running. We almost always ran it on first or second down, then you obviously don't attempt a run on 3rd & long. Stop repeating stupidity just because you don't want to admit that you're wrong.

Is English your second language or are you just retarded? I suppose you can't help either. Regardless, your "team first attitude" is irrelevant. One person absolutely can lose a team game, and Delhomme achieved that. Six turnovers is an insurmountable obstacle, and while other members of the team struggled, it doesn't matter how they play when your quarterback is that bad.

Not sure how anyone can type that Jake didn't lose the game single-handed. Six turnovers is pretty hard to overlook imo. Anytime the team looked like something good was going to happen he ripped the heart right out of it with a toss into double coverage or straight into the hands of a defensive player. Most of the time you wondered how the hell a guy getting paid to be a pro QB could be that damn inaccurate or unable to see that the receivers were double covered. John Elway couldn't have rifled a pass through those defenders much less Jake's rubber arm.

I will say whoever came up with the gameplan that let Larry Fitzgerald run free through the secondary for a good part of the game ought to be fired. With Boldin out he's the only person you really had to be hugely concerned about. Edgerrin James isn't going to beat you and if Breaston beats you, well, you deserve to lose. You don't single cover one of the best receivers in the NFL when the other team doesn't have another reliable receiver.
