    I don't recall that ever happening. Nobody is going to trade for a player who just got that kind of contract.

    Since Peppers is a rookie contract, can we put a 1st round tender?

    Or do we have to tag him?

    Gross is a slightly below average left tackle as a run blocker and slightly above average as a pass blocker. The fact that he made the Pro Bowl is endlessly amusing to me. He is not even close to a Walter Jones or Jonathan Ogden who just neutralizes opposing pass rushers. He's a guy who will give ground and give ground, breaking down the pocket but rarely letting his guy free to actually make the sack. The end result is that the QB still feels pressure, and being forced to move around, that sack may just come from someone else.
