    looking it up, in the year directly after the "Brad Johnson should be here instead of Delhomme" argument, he had 8 TD and 14 INT. According to the wiki, Johnson "had already set an NFL record for passes completed short of a first down on third down in a season." I didn't verify it. I don't see Johnson having had a bright future as a starter in 2006 anyway, but putting him in and replacing a Pro Bowl incumbent in Delhomme certainly would not have worked out, and it wouldn't have led to much of a future past 2006 given that they determined Weinke wasn't going to be with the team that year either.
