Losing a stud LT affects your team immensely, like not being able to run and keep the ball out of Utah's hands- which might have 'something to do' with the score.

Also, how do you go from 'nothing to do with' the score to 'so they may have gotten an extra possession or two'? Which is it?

Andre Smith is a stud, but that defense was setup around the edges, so no matter if he was in or not, they were going to get sacks and stop Alabama.

Smith's absence did not cause Alabama to lose that game. And no, his absence didn't have anything to do with Alabama's defense not being able to stop Utah from puting 31 points on the board.

Utah scored 21 in the first quarter. If the Alabama defense was affected that fast by the offense not being able to run the ball and stay on the field, they had no business being in the Sugar Bowl in the first place.

    where did I say that?

Bucko, Franchise:I'm not saying that Utah wouldn't have won if Smith had played, but it was a factor in their victory and in the final score.

I hope Utah has printed some "National Champions" shirts.

It amazes me how you retards treat someone who is trying to educate you. Anyone who thinks that Alabama's LT wouldn't have affected the score is a fucking moron.

Teams deal with injured/suspended players all the time. All teams.

1 player being out is no excuse for what happened.

You are too dumb to speak publicly, whether on the internet or anywhere else. No one is saying that Alabama should get a mulligan. In fact, I imagine that everyone besides DaveW is thrilled to see Saban lose. But it's obvious that not having the likely #2 or #3 pick in the NFL Draft hurt Alabama's chances. Without those three & outs, Utah doesn't put up 21 points in the first quarter.
