I know they like to push it but damned. They were acting like the ball was a time bomb.

It's one lose guys and there will be a few more I'm sure. But come March I believe this Tar Heel team will be cutting the nets down.

....atleast he knows how to announce a game.
And God bless my man McGuire, (sp), he was a trip to hear broadcast a game.
Hey ironman8, I have no idea how old you are but I'll ask you and others your opinion on this combo.......Jim Thacker and Billy Packer, back in the CD Chesley days.
Now that I'm way off the thread, Brent Mussberger sucks!

Yes, I have 'sailed with the pilot' in my days of watching ACC basketball.
    -
I came in around '79 as a young child watching B.B. I was 10 yrs. old.
    -
I DO remember the PACKER BACKERS also. And yes McGuire was a classic.
I remember him always seeming to be a fan of Sam Perkins. ACC Basketball on TV used to be a 'treat' to watch, especially if you got to stay up late since it was usually on a school night.

Its good to watch old ACC games on ESPN Classsic & listen to the announcers. And of note, I'll rather watch on TV without sound than have Packer tell me what I just saw wasn't what it looked like. SORRY! on that. I really think Jay Bilas does a good broadcast, even if he is a Dukie.

Agreed, Bilas is generally right 95% of the time, for the most part he doesn't get too bias about dook, and does really well at all the other games.
