Ill say this for Roy and K, they have never tolerated showmanship, thuggery or neck tattoos like so many other coaches today....I don't remember the last player to wear a headband for Duke (Parks maybe).....I think Thompson wears one for UNC....but i dont get the feeling he's trying to be an individual as much as it is something he's always done. Props to both coaches for not selling out.

Bobby Lutz would look cool in a headband.

    Cherokee Parks wore a headband.

edit: Maybe not, can't find any pics to support that memory.

Laettner wore one in the pros, it matched his purse.

I think I heard on Roy's radio show, NO HEADBANDS. Great move.

Not sure but I think Lawson or Thompson early in their Freshman year tried to slip on a headband during a game & was made to take it off.

I'm all for the 'CHEST BANGING OR HEART SLAP' being grounds for a warning or a tech. foul. I understand great play or pressure shots can lead to excitment, however it seems kids are doing this on "routine plays" or doing it after they just did something that "fundamentally" they should do. I've seen player flagged in football for what player do to express themselves in baskeball.
