for those who have direct tv, how much does a package with hd and no premium channels cost per month? TW is about to finally get the boot.

My DirecTV, 2nd tier, bill is about $58 per month, about the same as TW's at the same level/tier. As I understand it, it's all HD TV, some just more HD than others.
I'm switching to TW when my contract runs out in June because TW offers some stations I want that DTV doesn't offer(on my tier).

and youll be very sorry you did-i did it for 3 months-billing errors never got the price i was quoted-a much smaller group of HD channels-no NFL network-unrealable install(they didnt show up twice) and after everyting was said and done i had them yank their BS out and went back to Dtv-the way to do it is to let your current contract expire and put it in your wife/gf whatever name and get the new equip and cheaper rates

I had billing errors for three months with DTV.

Anyhow, TW might be a better fit for me because I want WGN and I don't watch football much. If DTV can include WGN with my present package, at the same rate, I might reconsider.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I think Verizon and the State of North Carolina is at odds over something which is keeping Verizon from offering the FIOS system. I'm sure it has something to do with an outrageous tax that the fine folks in Raleigh puts on our cable service.
