Kemo was out, Gibson had a hand injury, Beason missed a day of practice due to an illness. I have to wonder if our run D suffered for these things. Still the Giants are going to get some yards on you. We did enough to win but for the wind catching the field goal attempt.

Beason had people on him all night. The first job of a DT is to keep blockers off the second level. It was apparent last night that as good a player as Beason is he's less effective with clean blockers on him. And one other thing Collin do you have to get into a pissing contest on every thread that is posted? You whine like a little girl. Grow a set and STFU.

Hayden was #78, the only time I saw him was on the sidelines.

I did not and I was asleep with my eyes open at times so he may have been in and I spaced it off.

if the question is whether our 345 lb run stopper would've helped our run defense, sure.

For the record, Wise One initiated that with me. But yes, I do feel compelled to say something every time someone posts something idiotic. I've done that for years and will keep doing it, so you can either deal with it or go somewhere else. I don't understand why morons like you don't get that bitching at me about it does nothing but escalate the situation. I'm obviously not going to change.

That said, you make a good point about Beason having blockers on him. As I said before the game, the Giants are probably the best run blocking line in football. And while people will want to believe that not having Kemo is what hurt us, the reality is that he hardly ever occupies more than one blocker. As I noted earlier in the thread, we've allowed 100+ rushing yards to every team since the bye except Tampa Bay. Also, perhaps as a result of compensating for blockers getting to them more often, it seems like our LBs are being aggressive and over-running plays which allows for cutbacks to quick backs. That's one of the reasons why we held Jacobs in check but got shredded by Ward.

"We've still got to make the same plays without him," Diggs said. "I don't want to say that it's easier with him in there, but it clears things up from a linebacker standpoint, and that's one of the great things he provides when he's in there – that he demands the attention from an offense, where they've got to spend a little bit more time on him instead of flying up on us."

Diggs was kissing a teammate's ass. If you actually watched games, you might have noticed that Kemo doesn't occupy more than one blocker and does nothing to make offenses adjust. He doesn't get pancaked, which makes him an upgrade over Hayden, but he's definitely not good at stopping the run or anything else for that matter. As I keep noting, we have given up 100+ rushing yards to every single team since the bye week except Tampa Bay.

Or maybe Diggs is a professional football player that understands what's going on out on the field better than Collin does. I know it's hard to believe that somebody actually in the NFL could possibly know more than some dork on the internet, but it really is possible folks.
