Yeah there is one in Charleston and in Bluffton. There is a new one in Charlotte I just went and got take out from. Pretty good. Habenero BBQ sauce kicks ass and baby back ribs are tasty

Good stuff. They're based out of Birmingham and have nearly 30 restaurants. Beats Sonny's all day.

No...I heard it's expensive for what you get.

Mac's is building a new place right off S. Tryon @ Sandy Porter. They have good food.

We just tried it Friday, it's ALWAYS slammed (I live like 2 min away.)

I personally wasn't that impressed, but I don't eat ribs. The ribs looked fantastic. My girl got a bbq chicken sandwich that looked really good (she didn't want to share lol, she really liked it.)

I paid $13.50 for a pulled bbq plate and was disappointed. The plate was kinda small (although I am getting 2 meals out of it, it's not a heaping plate like you might be used to from bbq.) The taste was fairly decent, but nothing great. My sides were a mixed bag too, the mac/cheese was good in a K/W cafeteria style, fries kinda sucked. Both are embarressing considering they are $2 apiece separately.

I won't be in any hurry to go back, although admittedly I much prefer vinegar-based Q rather than this stuff.

Very expensive for what you get, also our server was subpar.

We would have been much better off at Ruby Tuesday's for the price. I hate 'Red White and Blues' or whatever it's called for the same reason, much too expensive for a supposed cheap meal, bbq.

Hopefully someone can recommend a good vinegar-based bbq place in South Charlotte/Carowinds area :)

:edit "Beats Sonnys all day" lol is that a back-handed compliment? I mean, it's true, but who cares? Anyone eating at Sonny's in this area obviously doesn't care about bbq. I bet you go to Red Lobster in Wilmington too lol

$13.50 for a plate of barbecue?

    WTF?

The only thing stupider than paying $13.50 for a plate of barbecue would be eating at that shithole called Sonny's. They couldn't pay me to throw a plate of their "food" in the trash.

$13.50 for a plate of barbecue. There's a sucker born every minute...
