I wouldn't call it indisputably better. Texas was lucky to take a late lead in that game because they'd been dominated throughout the first half. Florida suffered no such indignity, they just lost because of a missed extra point. Plus while I think Texas Tech is probably better than Mississippi, I don't think the gap is that large. Also, Florida played ten teams that made it to a bowl game while Texas played only seven.

When I disagree with you, it almost always means that you're wrong because I am much, much smarter and more knowledgeable than you are. When I disagree with you and the experts as well as the general public disagree with you, then the chance of you not being wrong despite all of that is laughably small. There was initially some bitching and whining about Texas, but the overwhelming consensus is that Oklahoma and Florida are the two best and most deserving teams in college football.

"Now if you change the question from "most deserving" to "could Team X beat Team Y?" then that's when you get a lot of uncertainty, but that's a trap question because many teams could beat Oklahoma or Florida." The effect on student-athletes isn't relevant to amateur athletics? By all means, say whatever other stupid things come to your mind. This should be fun.
