Without Burress, Shockey, and Jacobs, it's a very average offense and Eli Manning is a very average quarterback. The subtraction of Shockey has been greatly overlooked. The idea that they were "better without him" was delusional, and he's actually a better blocker than Boss because he's not restricted by his height. I'm glad we don't have to play against him in this game.

It's still going to be a hard game to win because it's on the road, where we've been playing our worst football, and they still have a very good defense. But I do feel a hell of a lot better about our chances now than I did when the schedule came out.

I like our chances. The Line's are both doing a good job for the most part. Deangelo and Stewart are creating things and Jake at least this past week was playing like a pro bowl QB. John Beason is a stud and I think this team is playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder from earlier in the year when they were getting smacked in the mouth early and the criticism was swarming about their lack of emotion.

    Lets play right now!

Jacobs was hurt bad enough to miss the game at Dallas so I wonder if he plays Sunday night how effective he can actually be.

One thing I saw that bothered me Sunday night was Manning throwing a 'smoke' pass to an RB split out on the left side.

Never mind. I think the Panthers right now at +3 is a pretty good bet.

+3 is fairly common for a road team, when virtually all else is equal, right?

It's damn nice playing in these big time games again. At the end of the day, as a fan, that's what I look for--big time games. We've had a pair in a row here, key wins, and this one coming up ranks up there with one of the biggest match-ups in recent years.

If Jacobs sits, it's more viable that we go in there and control the tempo. Would help offset the loss of 99 in the middle, if he's out.

Looks like you can run right at them again, like old times, which is kinda cool. I will be curious to see how the pass pro holds up, and how accurate JD can be on the road, in tough conditions.

Mark Jones would be due for a touchdown, at that point.
