Well it's a good thing the BCS system isn't about money.

    Way to miss the point.

The NCAA makes money off of tournaments, they don't lose it. Individual schools lose money, but not the NCAA itself.

Indeed, which is what makes it even more amusing when the terminally stupid like Wise One insist that the presidents oppose a playoff for money reasons. Any idiot can see that a playoff would make substantially more money for the NCAA, as several prominent media members have said. If bowls didn't have such long-standing tradition, then I'm sure that greed would have resulted in a playoff already.

I've proven to you over and over that a playoff is a better way of determining a champion. You're just to embarrassed to admit that you were wrong. You just want to follow me around the board and argue even though you know you are not right. That would be the definition of a moron.

I really can't comprehend how anyone with at least half a brain can argue that a tournament format isn't the best way to determine a legitament national champion. Period.

I did not miss the point...and aren't you the one always telling others to get their facts straight, that it makes their argument better? If you had said TV, now that would have been correct...just trying to help....

With ESPN having the BSC (Bull Shit Championship) locked up for a few more years, to argue it would be pointless until the contract runs out.
That said, a playoff IS the ONLY way to declare a TRUE champ. The current system leaves too many "what if's".:crap:

Swing & a miss at cleverness, but in all seriousness, if you have taken a college level statistics course then you should have enough understanding of probabilistic models to understand why a playoff being a single elimination stochastic process makes it unquestionably a terrible way of finding out who the "best team" is. The problem is that most of you don't have the requisite knowledge to understand that, you're just sheep who heard something and agree with it even though you don't know enough to evaluate the position.

You already get that. The BCS system is essentially a two team playoff. Expanding the field just introduces more randomness.
