    All the fundementals say that we should be in the middle of a refi boom right now with rates in the 4 - 5% range, but the combination of the credit crunch and the shutdown of the secondary market is killing everyone.

    If a 30 year fixed hits 5% and no points I'm so gonna refinance.

    The lift did not cost me much. If it helps me to keep it and pay it off instead of trading it in it will be worth it. Should be paid off in 6 months.

    I am not worried about not having a good enough score to qualify right now. I am at least 2 years from being ready to buy or build. I am happy with my little rental house for now.
