    Skip Holtz has turned down a Syracuse offer totalling about $12 million and he will remain a pirate for now. His name has surfaced in the Auburn coaching search though and I think if given the opportunity to go there, its bye bye skip......DC Greg Hudson should be the next in line for the opening at East Carolina should skip head to Auburn.

    when skip took over the pirates they had won 3 games in 2 years. in his 2nd year he took them to a bowl game. In his 3rd he beat a very good Boise State team in a bowl game. In his fourth he won a conference Championship and has the Pirates playing a January Bowl. I would say that its impressive enough for Auburn to take a look.

    but the most impressive thing is that he won a conference championship with 44 different starting players due to injuries.....very good and very very impressive.

    And their going to the Liberty bowl against Kentucky(6-6) and they get all this from winning the Conference USA Championship.

    more wins over NC State than Butch Davis, that's for sure.
