Stop crying just because it took me fifteen seconds to prove your own hypocrisy. If you insist that the BCS rankings are not an accurate measurement of team quality, then you can't use them for that purpose in seeding the teams. You have to think about things like that if you want to present a proposal for public discussion. You can't just leave in an obvious contradiction and expect everyone to say nothing simply because pointing out the flaw makes you upset.

Dude, Im not the one crying...so stop posting pics of your kids to try to prove your points.

I think the BCS formula could be used to seed the teams, just not seeding the top two because its been shown in several years that there were better teams to play for the national championship than the ones actually placed in the game. Besides, if they're in the tournament, they can prove themselves worthy of a national title by their play on the field.

But since you're so smart & all-knowing...Why dont you come up with something better?

That hasn't been shown at all. I am really beginning to think I drastically underestimated the percentage of stupid people on this planet. Complete morons who know absolutely nothing about college football and have the attention span of a four year old on acid think that Ohio State didn't deserve to be in the 2006 championship game. People who aren't complete and total morons know that they absolutely did. That Ohio State team destroyed then #2 Texas in Austin and blew out several other top 25 opponents that season in route to the only undefeated season from any BCS conference team that year. All major media outlets were speculating about whether or not that Buckeyes team was one of the best college football teams ever. They had one really bad night against a very good Florida team after the longest bowl layoff in college history, and suddenly you've got idiots coming out of the woodwork saying that they didn't deserve to be there in the first place. Newsflash: they unquestionably did, and people who insist otherwise are so intellectually deficient that they shouldn't be allowed to express another thought for 6 to 12 months.

Again, you can't pretend that the BCS rankings get #1 and #2 wrong, then use them to pick the #1 and #2 seeds in your formula. That's textbook hypocrisy. And as for my "solution," I think the BCS in its current form is more than fine.

    So you say...

Others have put their versions of a tournament just to add to the discussion. Since you're so all-knowing to the point you make others sick at their stomachs, let's see your proposal.

I don't understand the question. I've said that playoff formats are hideously bad at crowning the "best team," much worse than the BCS. Why would I then put forth a proposal for a playoff? I have no idea what you were thinking.

I know what Im thinking...while you bash my proposal and others because of your opinion (because its not what you're for), I want to see if you can come up with something better. But it seems you're too dense to understand that!!

Others are inserting their ideas, and since you're the all-knowing, most dominant, more superior person than us lowly peons....lets see your idea for a playoff. If you cant come up with something better, or cite the current BCS is fine the way it is....then start your own thread stating your opinions.
