You constantly show your age by talking down to me like I can't handle my money or understand what a good and worthy purchase is. Like I said before, some of us don't need huge 50" TVs, what I have works for me, and it has nothing to do financially. Nothing I said implied what I bought was all that I could afford. NOTHING. You just like trying to insinuate that I'm poor and that's why I made a low level purchase. I'm glad you know me so well from 4 or 5 posts.

I may have name called, but you crossed the line implying I was poor or "doing the best I could" with the purchase I made. You're showing your age by talking down to me like I'm your child.

What you quoted wasn't where you got pissy... you got that way in your first response.

Notice how you talked down to someone you knew nothing about. You got what you deserved. Even PB said you're a dick.

So sorry if my defense of my "shitty" TV struck a nerve with you. It must have since you implied I was poor and was lucky to be able to afford such a grand piece of equipment (in my eyes).

It is a shitty TV. Sorry but if it can't handle 1080p then it IS an inferior product. Maybe you CAN afford a better TV. But if you can and did research, then you made a huge mistake. Like I said. You have an inferior TV and to think otherwise is ignorant.

I don't know anyone.... ANYONE, that would research and buy a TV incapable of meeting the top industry standards of the time. Its an investment you expect to last more than a year or two. You either cheaped out, or you didn't research. YOU were the one that took offense when I pointed it out.

Sorry I live in an Apt., I'll save that for when I buy a house. I don't need to carry that thing up 3 flights of stairs when I buy it. You can disagree that's fine.

TWC can't even put out at 1080p so not much point. Who said I bought this TV last week. I've had it for 2 years. I never said I had a superior TV. If you look at my post I even admitted that.

So apparently I'm not ignorant. You said my TV is shitty which it is not, at the time it was on par for TVs it's size. At that time I couldn't even find 1080p at that size, and the only few I found at 40"+ I should have just gone with a 50"+. You just tried to call me poor, that's the only reason I got irritated.

Part of your research is looking at what you will primarily use the TV for. If it was for watching high-def movies all the time, sure I would have done so, but I rarely have time to sit down for 2-3 hours and watch a movie. I wanted a tv for general watching from 10-15 ft away. There's nothing ignorant about that.

See... that proves one of my points.

Umm... that's why we're debating Blu-Ray... Blu-ray and HD-DVD are capable of 1080p. Apparently which you've never seen.

My TV in the bedroom is 2 years old and does 1080p. Its not like 1080p came out last year.

not calling you poor not being able to afford a High Def. TV isn't poor, but I'm not rich and I've been able to do it easily.

no there's nothing ignorant at all about that, BUT discussion was about Blu-ray movies and their superior picture.

What point does that prove? That I have smaller rooms b/c I live in an apt? I'd hate to sound like someone else on here, but my apt. has more sq. ft. than some of my buddies' homes, so it's not like it's a two room, 600 sf, rats nest.

I've seen it, but 1080p until recently never was incorporated into TVs smaller than 42". 2 years ago when I looked I found a few that were 37" and 40", but you paid more and by that point you could just go bigger for a similar price tag, but I didn't care to go much bigger at this moment.

I know it didn't come out last year, but see the comment above.

I have a high def TV, it's just not 1080p.

I never said blu-ray didn't have a superior picture, but unless you are watching movies about 2-3 times a week, it's not entirely worth it's price tag, atleast IMO. Especially, since the movies cost more on top of it. I'm sure a blu-ray player would look way better than what my DVD player or 360 spit out, but at the same time, I only watch 2-3 movies a month, so to me it doesn't warrant the price tag. It's not about having the money to do it, it's about maximizing the use of a product. For my use, my tv, and dvd players work fine. If I bought a TV of the caliber you speak I wouldn't be maximizing my purchase.
