There are rumors swirling around. The only thing that has been confirmed is that he is indeed in that area this week for his dad's induction to a HOF and has had a meeting or two with Syracuse's AD. Looked to be definite last week...now....no one seems to really be leaning either way.

If he does leave, who would/should ECU go after? It's gonna be a pretty good job...most of the team is returning next year...a lot of the younger players got experience this year with all the injuries. Stadium expansion to 50,000 planned to start this offseason.

BUT...we're obviously not in one of the "Big 6" conferences...so.....who do they look at?

I can't blame Skip for going to Cuse. Pickney is leaving and even though ECU is better than Cuse, he will get more coverage at Cuse than ECU. He has done well at ECU and i think he goes to Cuse and tries to turn that program around, which I wish him the best of luck(except against NC State, if they ever play).

I think that a few coaches will be on ECU's radar. One will be Tommy Bowden, another will be Jerry Moore, and also their existing defensive coordinator Greg Hudson.

UNC-Chapel Hill has academic rejects? I'd hate to know their intelligence if Dwight Jones and Aleric Mullins can get into UNC-Chapel Hill!

....HHHHMMMMM?!...now lets see Fran, ECU won their conference championship with UNCs academic rejects? You, Miss Fran are an idiot! Oh, BTW, Francis, NCSU waxed your ass in Chapel...I mean Liberalville, NC.
Academics? Perfect Francis, ...and next will hear your heart say..."just wait until basketball season". UNC Football and Butch Davis are the laughing stock of the ACC.
You hate the fact that UNC football is maybe 2nd class at best.
Actually, so do I! Get it together Butch, or hire Skip!!
    No excuses UNC.

You had a pretty good rant going until you went right off the cliff with that statement. UNC is the school the other ACC coaches are scared of because Butch is bringing in the conference's best recruiting classes, he's a better head coach than any of them, and the Tar Heels already made huge improvements ahead of schedule. Aside from Tate and maybe Nicks (I expect him to enter the draft), every major piece will be back for Carolina next season on a team that, except for one Saturday against N.C. State, had been the best in the conference this season.
