I pay MIL $50 a month for her gas. Excellent deal (she only has to keep them 2-3 days a week).

I pay my mom $100 per week to keep my 2 boys. I consider it a good deal.

It's more highway robber for an infant. We have a lady that keeps ours infant for $100/week. A DayCare Center I called yesterday wanted $280/week and that's about the average for around here. That's a shit load of money to just feed/burp/change diapers. Also have a 3 year old in day care although that isn't quite as bad. If both were in regular daycare it would cost more than my mortgage per month.

Lots of times, really is cheaper for one to stay at home when all you end up doing is working to pay your daycare bill anyway. Love the fact that my hubby and I worked opposite shifts when our children were young, never really had to deal with the daycare stuff.

Daycare will break you. That is one reason why I moved to the place I am in now. My mom lives close by and it is easy to drop the kids off with her.

SilverSurfer could prolly work you a deal, he's into pet sitting and could branch out. It's about the same except for the screaming and crying.

Hopefully he wouldn't try walking the kid.

The smoke would worsen the kid's cold I would think.

We've ran the numbers and it's still better for both of us to work, at least income wise due to the wife's commission. If it weren't for the commission then she would probably stay home if she chose to. We can afford the day care, I just like to bitch about the infant costs because it is so high. I understand why but still it pisses me off sometimes.
