Please show me where you were mentioned before you showed up.

Did you get banned from preps? What about the fight you started in sportstalk over something that you admitedly didn't really know much about?

You mean like saying something you know isn't true just to win points in an internet argument? That kind of intellectually dishonest, or did you have some other kind in mind.

The rest is just the undigested shit from the cesspool that is you. But please, by all means tell us some more about how you are an established writer who couldn't cut it in the newsroom because everyone was so jealous of how smart you were or that you know so much about baseball because you have a general manager's number on your cell phone who thought so highly of you that he didn't even offer you a job. If that doesn't work, you can alawys fall back on how everyone at your school loved you - because they were nice to you and asked you how you were doing at your high school reunion.

    We're riveted. Really.

Until DaveW popped up to slam me, the discussion was about the BCS. DaveW made it about me, and that's when you chose to join in. You two, among many others, are obsessed with me and your actions prove that. As far as I know, I've never talked about you or DaveW away from this board, whereas you have often talked about me.
Yes, and I posted the links to the two threads where I participated (1 & 2), so you can see for yourself that I was not being insulting there in the slightest. I honor the "rules" of Preps and R&S, so I don't throw cheap shots in those forums. Braves had me banned from Preps because I made one of the coaches he sucks up to feel bad about being wrong when I produced studies from USA Baseball showing that he didn't know what he was talking about.
I don't remember what you're referring to. Care to explain?
You hide behind that every time you're getting your ass kicked, which is pretty often. Look, everyone lies, myself included. The differences are in intent and frequency. The many times I've admitting being wrong show that I do care more about "truth" than about myself, just as the many times everyone says you've been proven wrong (like the red card thread) and you just keep right on arguing shows that you care more about yourself than "truth."
Scouting director, actually, and he's the one who contacted me initially because he knew about my research from a mutual friend. Getting a permanent position in the front office of a major league organization would have been amazing, but not many people get those opportunities. Try not to make yourself stupid by pretending that working with them at all isn't unimaginably cool. I sincerely doubt that you've ever done anything nearly as significant.

Really, vp, it comes down to behavior. Your behavior in following me around the forums shows that you're obsessed with me, your behavior in refusing to admit when you're clearly wrong shows that you're insecure, and your behavior in frequently taking unprovoked shots at me shows that you feel threatened by me. Those are issues you need to be discussing with your therapist.

My first post here was post #51, when did you and dave start to get into it?

I rarely, if ever, talk about you away from this board at all. You really do suck at hunches.

Yes, obviously, I mean who in their right mind would consider this to be insulting?

I'm not hiding behind anything at all thanks. And anyone hear who has ever read anything you have written fully understand that there is nothing that you care about more than yourself.

Where did I say it wasn't cool? Regradless though,

You are as wrong on this hunch as you are with your blind guess about dave's wife.

If you keep telling yourself that, maybe it will actually come true. Do you really want me to count how many posts you have made in the Red Sox thread that I started for grid and myself?

Look, I understand that you think any post that you don't agree with is a personal attack on you and that you have a deep seated need to be seen as "right" by every person on the interweb, but maybe one day you'll grow out of that.

And as has been proven to you, I take unprovoked shots at pretty much everyone, so again, you really aren't that special. Sorry.

Yeah, that's exactly what I think about him. When he tries to run over a lineman or a linebacker in the NFL, he's gonna get his world rocked.

But, if he can get some touch on the ball, he could be a dangerous weapon. There is definitely a place for him in the NFL, I just don't know where right now. I think he's going to come back and work on his passing in college. He certainly has NFL calibre receivers to throw to.

So you admit that you do talk about me away from the board. I don't talk about you away from the board. I don't even think about you away from the board. And on the board, I don't stalk you around the forums waiting to make snide remarks like you do to me. You can keep insisting that you aren't obsessed with me, but your behavior tells an entirely different story.
Not unless you consider the act of correcting someone else to be insulting by definition. And obviously it's extremely restrained for me, plus I took a lot of shit from that first kid without responding in kind, which is why Braves thanked me for not exploding on him. I got banned from Preps because I hurt the feelings of someone Braves sucks up to. You claimed that I was starting fights in there and I provided the links that proved you wrong. I don't blame you for being wrong because it's very possible that you were fooled by Braves' lies, but now you know.
Sure, that's why I've admitted all kinds of flaws about myself or acknowledged when I'm wrong about things. I care a billion times more about myself than I would about you, but I hold myself to the same standards that I apply to anyone else. In order to do that, I have to care more about those standards than about my own feelings. Again, you can say whatever you want but the behavior tells the story. You embarrass yourself by stubbornly insisting you aren't wrong when everyone else thinks you've been proven wrong.
Feel free to share what you think you've done that was cooler.
It's a public forum, you moron. If you wanted a private discussion with gridfaniker about the Red Sox then you should have done it by Email. I post in there when I have something to say about the Red Sox, and given that I know more about them than you do, it's not surprising that I would.
This is the kind of dishonesty I'm talking about. No one else is buying the idea that you aren't obsessed with me or aren't bitter towards me. You clearly are on both counts. There are plenty of people on this board who I argue with where it doesn't get personal. Meatpile and I just fought over Delhomme and I didn't consider that an attack on me. Following me around the forums, talking shit about me behind my back, and passing around pictures of me (I know that wasn't you, I'm just using it as an example of how people are obsessed) are all clear signs of obsession.

Sure - your insanity is pretty hard not to laugh at, but we try not to make too much fun of those who are so obviously limited. I did also ask sly one time about the PM where you claimed he agreed with you, but he confirmed you lied about that - which is pretty much what I expected.

Hey, it's Mr. Double Standard again.

It was your first post, and as usual you walk in like a know it all and start shooting fromthe hip. You ever notice how much time you spend justifiying why your action was warranted, but someone else's wasn't.

Just like your arguments, you acknowledge what you choose to and ignore the rest. Even if they are so plainly obvious that Helen Keller could see them.

Coaching in the lacrosse world championship was pretty cool, backpacking around Europe for 6 months didn't suck, although I could have done without the diarreah in Poland. Neither did driving across country. Having a big role in one of the largest mergers in US history wasn't so bad either. Neither did redesigning one of the largest Christian non-profits in the world. It's also not to bad to walk through the Prague airport knowing that I translated many of the documents needed to make it happen.

Funny thing too, they all found me jobs afterward.

And no, I'm not going to debate you over which was cooler.

This is a perfect example of the response from above. It's OK for you to follow people around and post anywhere you like, but if someone else does it, they're stalking. You're a piece of work man, and that's not a comlpiment.

I don't think that you really want to go down that road, little Norman Bates. At any one time here, you have at least a couple of feuds going, while I pretty much never do - outside of you that is.

But I like how other peoples' obsessions get transferred to me. That's a neat trick. And about as accurate as your guess about sly.

Tebow can have a solid NFL career. He has the arm for it, you can see that when he let's one rip. And he appears to be pretty smart too. He's going to need a lot of work at the NFL level though and he absolutely has to land with the right kind of team (one that won't throw him to the wolves the first season to appease the fans or owner). His ability to run will be a huge help if he runs when he NEEDS to and not like in Florida where he has so many plays designed for that. He'll have a short career if tries that RB that can also throw routine in the pros. I don't know whether he'll be a star, maybe, but he should be a solid QB and the NFL isn't loaded with even that level of talent these days.
