That's fine, but as I said, it's a hell of a lot easier to just go along with the crowd at whatever school you're attending than to stick your neck out and stand by a lifelong allegiance even if it means being surrounded by people pissed off at your choice. I'm not saying that you were wrong to switch from UNC to UNCC because you should follow whatever you feel, but it's idiotic to criticize someone else for sticking by a team they've supported their whole life. As noted, you get a lot more aggravation for doing that.

We can just agree to disagree. To me at least it's a hell of a lot easier to pull for a team that is consistantly good, plays in a good league, is on TV all the time, has multiple national championships, etc. than it is to pull for one that isn't any of those things.

Pull for whoever you want and quit being a crybaby. Gawd, I hate these 'you can't pull for anyone but the team where you went to school' arguments. Pull for your pissy little team and quit whining. Clemson coming to town again sometime soon? I know that had to hurt. I mean 1 point? Wow...

No team is always good anymore in this era of parity, and they're certainly not good in all sports. For instance, I always cared more about football than basketball (been to 30+ UNC football games but never any basketball games, just a few Midnight Madnesses), so I'm clearly not a Carolina fan because they always win. The point is that you shouldn't give anyone crap about supporting a team over the years whether they went there or not.

Then why give anyone crap about their allegiance at all? The only proof we have that someone has been a fan all their life is that they say so. I could have come on here saying that I was a fan of Chapel Hill from day one and the only people who would have known different are people from the Charlotte boards. You can say whatever you want on the internet.

You're an idiot. You are an embarrassment to people who actually attended the school and people who are the most fairweather fans, you're pretty much a disgrace to humanity. And stop junking up grid's big east thread.

The same ones fall for this each year. Let them keep going. It's entertaining.
