"If you don't count ACC-Big Ten Challenge games that are out of Duke's scheduling control, today will be the first time the Blue Devils have played a nonconference game in an opponent's on-campus arena since a 2001 game at Michigan."

omg, duke was so scared to play ucla that they paid them off so they could play michigan at the garden and learn their plays so they wouldn't lose to them on their campus.

Where are all of the NCAA tournament games played? Are they played in on campus gyms?

Why not play games in arena atmospheres to prepare your team for the post season? What good does it do to travel to another teams campus and play i a hostile environment when you are going to do that 8 times in ACC play? You can say what you want, but IMO it is better for a team to play in an arena than an opposing teams gym, especially in non conference. St John and such choose to play at MSG because its a bigger gate for them.

    K Quote about Michigan

''I saw the Savannah State tape and there weren't too many seats full,'' said Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, referring to the previous home game that had an announced crowd of 8,190 in an arena that holds almost 14,000. ''It's party time every time we come to town, but this is a great school and they deserve this level of support for every game.''

Finally gave someone a chance to "PARTY" in their own arena and look what happens!
