Tech source said Auburn officials told Tech that "they're not interested in Leach" and that he "doesn't fit well in the SEC."

    5. Houston Nutt is going to be the SEC coach of the year: The guy that a portion of the Arkansas fan base ran out of town is probably going to take Ole Miss to a very good bowl. Nutt’s Rebels just destroyed LSU on Saturday and a win at home over Mississippi State probably puts them in the Cotton, Outback, or Chick-fil-A bowls. Yes, Nutt made some mistakes at Arkansas and he has been justly criticized for them. All I know is that he took a group of players who couldn’t get out of their own way last season and build them into a pretty good team—the only team to beat No. 4 Florida this season.

    What is Saban's record again?

Either guy would be deserving. Alabama "arrived" a little ahead of schedule, but everyone expected them to become a power sooner or later under Saban. Mississippi is more of a surprise.

Auburn is going to be very very hard to win at. Saban is gobbling up every top recruit under the sun in Alabama and AUburn has historically gotten a lot of great recruits from Georgia but Richt has done a great job in keeping the top GA players in Georgia and cutting off particularly AUburn and Tennessee. It's like a school without a real home state.
