I thought the comparison to Perilloux in the comment section was a pretty strong point

If you look at what AE has done it is hard to say he is not the best in the state. He didn't have much competition this year until Russell Wilson started getting hot and lead NC State to four straight wins. RW has a shown a lot of potential this year but in the end, its the 3 National Championships that AE has won and thats why he is the best in North Carolina this year and the past 3 years.

Edwards is a good player, but if anyone thinks that he would be a star quarterback in the ACC then they're a moron. The Michigan win notwithstanding, App would be a bottom feeder in a BCS conference.

    Could be. He could be.

This is strictly about opinion. There is no way to prove either side (unless AE could go play 4 years in the ACC after he was done at ASU, which he cant)

What are your points? Is he too short? Too slow? Weak arm? Bad decisions?

I get so tired of people hiding behind the word "opinion." Despite what your parents may have taught you, opinions aren't created equal. Some are dumb and some aren't. Practically every day we choose to accept the opinions of some and reject the opinions of others based both on the perceived quality of the statement and the history of the person making it. We all do it, so consciously we all know that opinions can and should be judged.

As for Edwards, his success comes from his mobility and bad defenses being unable to cope with the spread offense. Against faster defenders, neither of those elements would make as much of an impact. I'm not saying that he would suck in the ACC, but there's no way he would be a "star" and I'm not entirely sure he'd be better than solid.
