So, someone is going to get screwed in this process. Maryland will not go to the Congressional Bowl because that is during their exam week (and the ACC won't force them), Wake can't go to the Congressional Bowl because Navy, who has already accepted an invitation, has a no rematch clause. This leaves Miami/Clemson/UNC-Ch as possibilities to fall. My guess is Miami will get sent down to the 9 spot but what if Boise picks Miami (which is in their right to do).

The NCAA has no juridiction to tell Bowl's who to take so what happens in this scenario that Boise picks Miami (for example) and leaves Wake/Maryland for the last two bowls but one of which neither can go to.

My guess is Boise will play nice and choose Maryland or Wake but it would be fun to see the shenanigans if they pick Miami.

I've seen a couple of predictions having the Heels verses WVU in the Tire Bowl

The Emerald Bowl will pick Miami before Boise gets the chance to.

Somebody else is seeing the same problem coming that I see....

    http://acc.starnewsonline.com/default.asp?item=2293981

NCAA can't break the contract that Navy has and no freaking way they try to force a school to play a bowl during the middle of their exam week. They also don't have the jurisdiction to force another bowl to take Maryland/Wake as that is governed by ACC contracts with those bowls so what else can they do but allow NCSU in the DC bowl and allow either Maryland/Wake go into the at-large pool.

It looks like UNC is headed to Nashville for the Music City Bowl against Kentucky. The Champs Sports Bowl in Orlndo is still a possibility for the Tar Heels.

I'm not going to bust your balls because you were being polite, but please assume that I know what I'm talking about, in which case double check your information whenever you think I'm wrong about something. Notre Dame has an agreement with the Big East that they are to be considered part of that conference for bowl tie-ins.

Clearly N.C. State fans are deluding themselves into thinking that the NCAA will cave and let the Wolfpack play in D.C., but it isn't going to happen. You guys need to stop with the nonsense and accept the fact that that NCAA rule is going to keep State out of the ACC's nine bowls. You guys will have to look elsewhere.

Collin, if you look on most NCSU boards (at least the premium ones, no idea what the idiot boards are saying as any idiot can post on those), we already resigned to that as most are looking at the Motor City or Papajohns.com.

Doesn't change the situation as it currently exists. Maryland has said no to that bowl and Wake, by contract, cannot be in it. If they both aren't selected by another bowl (by default - one of them will be), what happens then in your opinion?
