Would be nice if they just had a playoff and let the playoff decide things rather than a fucked up computer program

Well I obviously didn't expect you to admit that you were wrong since you never do about anything. I do like how you insisted that you were correct without spending one word explaining why, especially after I just showed at length why you're wrong. But that's what you do. You, like S_Nut, come on here strictly to argue whenever you're bored. You never admit that you're wrong about anything because your sole purpose is to keep the argument going, no matter how it makes you look.
What about that did you not understand? In established team sports there aren't ever (as far as I know at least) teams thought so dominant that they're favored over a field of eight or more teams. The only places you see someone favored over the field are individual sports where the one person in question is vastly superior to everyone else.

That's a fair point, but the two are generally related. You don't often see bad teams favored over good ones just because the bad one has a ton of fans who will bet on them to win. The line reflects perceived quality of the respective opponents.

Incorrect, because the computers don't factor in the date of the victories at all. ABC had a good graphic about this Saturday night which showed that if you look at the point differential among common opponents, then Oklahoma was far better than Texas or Texas Tech. Clearly when you play has an effect on voters, which is unfortunate, but in this case it wouldn't have changed who would be or should be advancing.

No, it wouldn't. A college football playoff would be terrible idea for all the reasons I've already listed.

I'm sorry, I thought the BCS rankings took into account polls that were determined by human beings casting votes, which would indeed factor in dates of victories.

    my bad

I acknowledged that dates play a part in human votes, but the reality is that in this case Texas had a slight edge in the human vote anyway. The computers don't care about dates, and they're what put Oklahoma over the top.

I would like to see a playoff system decide who plays for the national championship. That would be best.

right. the people who vote are influenced by the dates the games are played, and the people polls are part of the BCS ranking formula, so dates do play a part in the overall ranking.

Hooray for me! I've proven Collin wrong!

    where's my fucking trophy?

Ok collin, I'm pretty sure the people you compare "morons" know much more about college football and any aspect of sports in fact. It seems as if you just hate the world and believe that you are the only one that knows anything about college football...but by all means lets all bow down to God of College Football Collin....I mean if your so smart about football why arent you coaching in the NFL or College?
