Better careers and 2008 seasons measuring wins and loses?

    Brady
    Farve
    Warner
    Ben Roth
    McNabb

I'm not talking about stats, I'm talking about leading a team and winning. Who else has been to a superbowl and NFC championship or won as many games?

Delhomme plays. We win. Pretty simple to me. I don't think he's a great passer, I think he's a great leader.

i hope people can keep writing "but their qb had a good game but old jakes sorry ass beat them at the end of the game"

btw how will it look if brees has all those passing yard records for the season and his ass is sitting home for the playoffs

you cant even seriously argue his playoff record

I still agree with this statement.

    Just not this one.

Like meat said, he has "it," despite his flaws. The evidence is in what he did today, what he did in San Diego, and all the other big throws in big moments he's made. Hell, even last week he kept bringing us back. There may be a 100 other guys with comparable talent. There aren't 100 other with his luck, moxie, cajun voodoo, or whatever you want to call it.

He's proably played more for us than he is going to play in the future. But I still enjoy moments like today.

there aren't 100 guys out there with more talent, by any means.

Yeah, and boy that turned into a shit storm.

I still don't see how Collin compares him to 100 other guys. I didn't feel cocky about Delhomme getting the ball with under 2 minutes left b/c I'm a homer, I felt cocky b/c Delhomme has a long history of getting it done, and it almost always looks that ugly. And it's not always with Smith.

The bad part is that's about the only time I feel good about Delhomme. The rest of the time I pray for handoffs.

Do I feel good about Delhomme next week? No. If we get into a 2 minute situation, will I feel good about our chances? Yes.

There's alot to be said for that.

I've always thought this - be sure that if you replace a guy, that you can replace him with someone better. I haven't seen that, and looking around the league it seems very difficult to find. Sage Rosenfels ain't it, Derek Anderson ain't it.

Those guys ain't it. They don't seem to have whatever Delhomme has that wins games. I just don't see Delhomme as replaceable as Collin says, although I wish he was.
